Bio

Raised in Central New York, I studied piano at the Crane School of Music before pursuing graduate degrees at Boston College and Boston University. I have been teaching at Fordham since 2004, offering courses in Colonial literature and Spanish language. I have traveled widely in Mexico and Central America, either as scholar, tourist, or volunteer. I still play the piano daily, but spend most of my time researching and writing in support of my courses and publication agenda.
