Biography:


Dr. Turner is an assistant professor of English education in the Division of Curriculum and Teaching at Fordham University. A certified teacher of secondary English and social studies, she taught high school in New Jersey for six years before shifting focus to teacher education. She has taught pre-service and in-service education courses at Rutgers University and Rider University, and she is a consultant for the National Writing Project.

 


Current Interests and Research:

Dr. Turner is interested in improving the quality of students’ writing at all levels.  Her primary focus is on teaching argument to adolescents and on transfer of instruction across disciplines.
