Airport Transportation:

From LaGuardia:

Taxi – $25-35 (metered, including tolls and tip) – About 35-50 min.

SuperShuttle (800-258-3826) – About $16.
Will drop you at the hotel, but it could take a very long time depending on where the other passengers are going.  But it’s relatively cheap and door-to-door service.

Bus + Subway - $2 total – 45-55 min.
1. Bus ($2 - buy a Metrocard before boarding): take the M60 bus and get off at the Astoria Blvd Metro Station (at Hoyt Ave. & 31st St; just ask someone where to get off to get the subway in Queens).
2. Subway (free transfer): from the Astoria Blvd Station get a Manhattan bound N or W train and take it to the 7th Ave. Station (at 57th St., about 2 blocks north of the hotel).
If you get in at the time of the dinner reception on Friday night and want to come straight there, this bus can take you to Broadway and 106th St in Manhattan (last stop), 12 blocks north of my apartment.

From JFK:

Taxi - $45 flat fare (plus tolls) to anywhere in Manhattan -  About an hour.

Trains + Subway - $12.25-$14.25 total – A little over an hour.

2. LIRR Train: From Jamaica Station you get an LIRR (Long Island Rail Road) train to Penn Station for $5.25-7.25 depending on peak or off-peak time (since most trains coming through Jamaica Station are headed for Penn Station just look at the monitors for a train time and buy a general ticket for Penn Station at one of the machines.  Prices double on board, so definitely buy a ticket from the machine).
3. Subway ($2 on Metrocard): Once at Penn Station, you can take the E (headed Uptown or to Queens/Jamaica Center) to the 7th Avenue Station (at 53rd St., 2 blocks south of the hotel).
