Ran into a Russian name in some book or article and you
don't know who it is? This database might help you. This is
a one-stop place for snapshot summaries of the main
personalities of the Soviet/Russian space program. The
accent here is on management and engineering people rather
than (the more common) cosmonauts. There are a few
cosmonauts listed here but only those who attained
important managerial duties during their careers.
As a rule of thumb, I've divided the Biography area of the
website into four categories:
• engineers
• scientists
• military officers
• government and Communist Party officials
I'll be adding photos for as many people as possible.
